Béla Fleck and Brooklyn Rider North American tour

Béla Fleck and Brooklyn Rider have teamed up to do a 19 city, North American tour which kicked off at Le Poisson Rouge in New York earlier this month and will finish at Weber State University in Ogden, on February 9th 2014.  Visiting cities from Washington, Philadelphia to Las Vegas, they are performing Fleck’s “Night Flight Over Water,” a quintet for banjo and string quartet, from his latest album ‘The Impostor’, amongst other arrangements.

Eric Jacobsen spoke with ClevelandClassical.com and described working with Béla Fleck as “...a very special situation for us. This is a collaboration that was meant to happen.”

Whilst in New York they stopped off at Soundcheck (WNYC Radio) to discuss their new collaboration and performed ‘Night Flight Over Water’, listen to the interview and hear the performance here!
